On 15 June 2022, the law transposing certain measures provided for in the tripartite agreement of 31 March 2022 (hereinafter the “Law of 29 June 2022”) was adopted with the aim of preserving the purchasing power of households.
One of the measures taken by the Law of 29 June 2022 is to prohibit, starting from 30 June 2022 (date of entry into force of the Law) and until 31 December 2022, any increase in housing rents. The prohibition covers all rents for dwellings in the private rental market that fall within the scope of Chapter II of the Law of 21 September 2006 on the lease for residential use. This also includes dwellings with modern, non-standard comfort.
